Since I've been working long shifts at work, snacking between meals is becoming more and more necessary. But healthy snacking doesn't always happen for me. I've decided I really need to plan ahead and pack my snacks, to avoid the tempting and dangerous food from the vending machines or gift shop.
On my last grocery shopping adventure, I went "snack" crazy and decided to stick with some of my favorite items, AND then try some new ones!
Here are some of my choices!
This cereal is delcious and nutritious -- I like it with milk in the morning, but its a GREAT snacking item...I sometimes even grab a handful of it for dessert some nights after dinner. |
These are a seasonal item so snatch them up now! The pumpkin spice flavor is so yummy! |
Pears are in season right now, and they are a perfect treat for those snackers who have more of a sweet tooth! |
Love these braided pretzels - the honey wheat flavor is my favorite! (I may or may not have eaten an entire bag of these on a recent road trip.) |
This is a yummy version of the standard trail mix - with dried cranberries and blueberries, granola, and more! |

i love veggies and hummus. any nuts. and lately i have a pretty intense carb and cheese addiction. love boursin on french bread.
