When we moved from NC to NJ this summer, I made a promise to myself. I would host an all-girls Christmas party in 5 months, and I couldn't back out. It didn't matter if I only invited 2 people, or if I had to invite strangers - but I would have people over, and host a party!
It definitely made me meet new people and reach out to girls, even if it felt awkward or out of my comfort zone at the time. But guess what?
I did it.

My new friends!
So thankful they actually showed up!! I was a little nervous there for a minute :)
Lesson learned - challenging yourself, and pushing yourself out of comfort zone may be hard at the time, but it is almost ALWAYS worth it!! A big thanks to my friend, Lydia who helped me pull this off!
XOXO
Good for you!! What a way to challenge and push yourself-it's so much harder to make friends as an adult. Looks like it was a success
ReplyDeleteThat's fantastic! I really need to do more of that this year (I get nervous too!) and you're inspiring me to stop worrying and just be myself!
