Easter is one of my favorite holidays.
The fresh blooms of flowers, the darling decorations, the delicious food and the family traditions.
Cadbury eggs, jelly beans, pastel colors, and perfect Easter outfits for Sunday morning.
But more than those things, I love the truth of the Easter story. The time to reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of our Savior. The most beautiful story of hope and new life.
This year was our first Easter we have been around family and friends in a long time, and of course it was Ellie's very first Easter! So it was quite special :)
We spent the weekend dying eggs, going to our church Easter egg hunt, hiding and hunting for eggs in the yard, enjoying a little too much candy, spending time with family, having wonderful food, and celebrating God's great love.

{Andrew: "Baby Ellie - I found your Easter basket!"}
{Andrew: "Baby Ellie - I'm going to read you a book, ok?"}
There is no personal space in the world of a toddler!
{But oh how sweet it is to watch these two together!}

We are thankful.
Thankful for His love. Thankful for the price He paid.
So that we can stand before the cross, forgiven and free.
We deserved death. Yet He gave us life.
Thank you Jesus!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, too!
Such a beautiful family!! Xo
