Last weekend was a wonderful one - full of some hard work, and then a little bit of play :)
First up was the Habitat for Humanity build in Durham, which was a team of some of the "Partners" (spouses, significant others) of current Duke MBA students. It was a great turnout, and we ended up being able to help build one house, and then also landscape another! My day was spent digging holes, planting shrubs, and getting real nice and sweaty.
A few pics from the day:

Friday night, I got to go on my first "BLATE!" ---a.k.a. blog date :)
I was so excited to meet up with 2 of my favorite bloggers, {av} from Long Distance Loving, and Jana from Seashells and Southern Belles. I brought John along to hang with {cv}, and one of {av's} friends (a soon-to-be blogger) and her hubby joined us too. We had drinks at the always fun and festive Alivia's, in downtown Durham, and we had the BEST time!!
{av} and her mini bottle of prosecco - yum! |

Me, {av}, Jana, and Courtney -- miss you girls already! |
Later that night, John and I headed out for the annual Duke Campout, where graduate students stay all weekend camped out in trailers and Uhaul trucks in hopes of becoming the lucky few who will get season Basketball tickets. John did it last year (see this post), but decided against it this year, which ended up to be a pretty good decision...(it rained and rained and rained....and dropped about 30 degrees at night.)
We had a great time hanging out with friends though, having dance parties, and eating yummy food.
Only pic of the night:
