First of all, let me say, Easter is NOT about the baskets ;)
It is about the resurrection of our Lord and Savior! How He lived, died, and rose for us!
Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays - the powerful story of Jesus, and the wonderful traditions my family had growing up.
We were a family that dyed eggs, decorated cookies, went on egg hunts, and woke up Sunday morning to look for our baskets! They were usually filled with things like Play-Doh, sidewalk chalk, crayons, stickers, and jelly beans or chocolate. Nothing too fancy ;)
Now that we get to celebrate this Easter with our sweet baby boy, it gets me even more excited for the new traditions we will start as a family, as well as including those we had growing up as kids.
I started hunting for a basket here, and found an adorable one that I got with registry credit. This year, he obviously has no clue what is going on, so I threw in some gifts we have received from his birthday and Christmas - and also found a few special goodies for me to add.
Here is some of his loot (bunny, onesie, teether, and book), as well as a few other fun items that are just too adorable not to share....
Do y'all do baskets for your little ones?
What other traditions do you have, or plan on having?
And because I can't help myself,
our lil sweetie....
