Guest Post - Her Late Night Cravings

When Emily reached out to us to fill in for her here on All You Need Is Love, we jumped at the opportunity,  because this girl is one of our favorites in all of blog land! We're so excited for her and John as they take this trip to enjoy a special week of walking down memory lane in Cabo. May every moment of their trip be just as fabulous as it was as newlyweds!!

Emily's tropical vacation got us the thinking...what does every girl need to carry in her beach bag?? We've come up with a few necessities, along with a couple of things just for fun!!

Beach Bag Essentials

We hope you guys got a few ideas for what to haul with you to the beach or the pool this summer! Certainly make sure to cover the basics, like sunscreen, a pair of sunnies and a good hat to protect your face from the sun. We want to keep our faces looking beautiful, right ladies?!?! We wish you all glorious amounts of sunshine and days filled with whatever makes you the happiest this summer season!

xoxo ~

Guest Post - Fried Green Pickles

Hello everyone! My name is Megan and I blog on over at Fried Green Pickles! I was honored when Emily asked me to step in for the day and do a guest post while she and John are off tanning in the Mexican sunshine! My husband and I were just there last month, so I am quite jealous.
I don't normally do many guest posts, but when I do, I like to go virtual shopping. And that's what we're doing today. You see, I recently got married, and aside from getting to spend the rest of my life my handsome, sweet man, decorating our house is the next best thing! :)
I ran into Target the other night to pick up some last minute items for dinner, and couldn't help but stroll up and down the decorative home aisles. Lately, Target has really stepped up their game!
Here are some of my favorites that I wouldn't mind if they made their way into our home...

Please come visit my blog where I talk about yummy recipes, my obsession with pickles, my sweet pup Brady, and our newlywed life in Charleston! Be sure to say hi! :)

Guest Post - Chelsea Notes

Hi!! I am so excited to be over here on my best friend Emily's blog!  Isn't she the best?!
Emily is the kindest sweetest gal!  And John (her hubs) is such a catch too.  Very glad they are getting some alone time in Mexico together.

My husband and I got the opportunity this February to go to St. Lucia with some of his business partners. We went to Sugar Beach.  It is hands down the most beautiful place I have ever been.  We spent the day laying by the pool sipping cocktails, taking in the sights, and lots of yummy eats!!  Enjoy the pictures!  Anytime you get a chance to go to St. Lucia, I highly recommend Sugar Beach

Guest Post - Southern Curls and Pearls

Hello loves! I'm a huge fan of Emily's blog so when she asked me to post about my beach bag essentials, I jumped at the chance! The beach is probably my favorite vacation spot in the whole world. My family heads to the NC coast each summer for a week, and it has to be my favorite week of the whole year.

My first beach bag essential is, well, a cute beach bag! I'm in love with {this Kate Spade one} which is incredibly cute but also roomy enough to hold all of your beach stuff.

These {ava tortie shades} are my favorite purchase this summer. They look very similar to a Karen Walker pair of sunnies I've had my eye on, but without the $300 price tag! And this {summer straw hat} is key to feeling glam on the beach. I like to protect my face from the sun so I don't get wrinkles later in life (don't worry, I use self-tanner to avoid looking like a ghost!).

{Sunscreen} is essential to avoid sunburn, but don't forget those lips! I'm obsessed with {supergoop lip balm} with SPF 30. If you've ever had your lips burned before, it is NOT fun! This lip balm feels great on my lips and also protects them from the harsh UV rays.

A {comb} and {detangling spray} are necessary if I don't want my hair to end up in a tangled mess.

My monogrammed {tervis tumbler} is my best friend at the beach. I fill it up with ice water, lemonade or smoothies to keep cool and hydrated in the sun. I love the Crystal Light raspberry lemonade packets!

And finally, I need something to keep my mind occupied while I'm laying on the beach. I bring along my Nook for some light reading and a book of puzzles! Yes, I am a nerd - I looove doing puzzles on the beach. Word games, sudoku, picture games, there is nothing more relaxing to me that working on a puzzle while I'm laying in the sun.

Here's me ready for some beach time:

I don't know about you guys, but I'm super jealous that Emily is laying on a beach in Mexico right now! Thanks for having me Emily and hope you're having so much fun!!

Love, Cait

Even though I have a closet full of beach attire (I'm a Florida girl!)....
here are a few items that would be perfect to add to my suitcase for this Mexican getaway!  ;)

Friday Five

Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake (made with frozen bananas instead of ice cream).

1. Healthy Dessert

I am the biggest fan of this delicious flavor combo and recently tried making this shake.  I left out the syrup and sea salt - and it was amazing!  So delicious.  I may even add flax seed next time, or add a little protein powder for after a workout.

2. Mani of the week
Essie Funny Face :)
Love this bright bold pink for spring!
Next on my nail polish wish list, Essie Boom Boom Room.

MERONA Yellow Chiffon Crossbody

3. New to the closet :)

I found this little bag at Target (on clearance!), and just couldn't pass up the bright, fun hue!
It's definitely much more neon than it looks in the picture, and the little clasp is tortoise!  Can't wait to pair it with maxi dresses, or jean shorts and a t shirt this summer.

Trina Turk Cover up

For our upcoming Mexican Vacay, I was looking for some great cover ups, and ran across this gorgeous printed caftan at........  TJ Maxx!  It was the find of the century, and literally a fraction of the original price tag!  So excited about this one.

Piper Necklace

One of my girlfriends who sells S&D was giving a major discount this past week, so I scooped up this dainty and feminine gold necklace.  I think it will be perfect for layering with my monogram necklace, or just by itself.

4. Sephora Gift Card

My sweet big bro got me this for my bday last week, and I am so excited to buy myself a fun treat.
I typically go to Sephora for my tried and true faves (this, this, or this), but I would really like to try something new and different!  Any suggestions?  If you could only buy 1 thing from Sephora all year, what would it be?

5. Adam Levine The Voice

Hubs and I are obsessed with Adam, I mean, the show.  SO good, and so entertaining.  Our favorites for sure are Danielle (so adorable), Sasha (so stunning), and Amber (move over Carrie Underwood!)
American Idol has been such a letdown because of the judges this year, and The Voice has truly taken over.  Are you fans too?

Happy Weekend, loves!!

Birthday Loot

I'm in my pajamas.
I have very little makeup on.  And my hair is a mess.
BUT I had so much fun opening some of my birthday presents last weekend, and I just had to share some of my pics!  Lots of great loot!  And very thankful and blessed to have such wonderful and generous family and friends!
YAY for birthdays!!

The best gift of all was definitely spending the weekend with my wonderful family!
So blessed.  So thankful.
And so excited to entertain, cook, decorate, and dress all fancy, with my new goodies ;)

BBQ, Bocce Ball, and Birthdays

We were so excited to host John's parents in Princeton this past weekend.  They are truly such a joy and a blessing to us.  We had the best time - and were thankful for perfect spring weather!

They brought our favorite foods, all the way from Memphis, TN!

Saturday, we ventured out to Duke Farms - a lovely, sprawling park, where we spent most of the afternoon riding bikes!

And exploring these gorgeous orchid gardens!

(I really do like my husband, I wanted the flowers in the middle of us in the picture!)

Saturday night we dined al fresco at my favorite pizza place in Princeton - just minutes from our house!

Sunday, we enjoyed a wonderful Church service, and then we spent another beautiful day outdoors!
This time it was bocce ball and frisbee at Mercer Park!

Cinco de Mayo of course had to be celebrated that night - John made delicious mango margaritas :)

And we celebrated my birthday!

It was SUCH a great weekend!!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend too!!
