Friday's Fancies - Pretty in Plaid

Happy Friday!  This week has been wonderful - I had a big day on Wednesday....I started my new job!  I'm working at a private  OB/GYN office, and these past two days have been so great!  Looking forward to getting back into a routine, feeling productive, and of course, getting a paycheck ;)

Hope you all had a wonderful week too!  I'm linking up with {av} from long distance loving today, to share my version of a "Pretty in Plaid" outfit!  I've always been a little wary of plaids - I feel like they can be done right on, or very wrong.  You can't go wrong with these though:

Perfect shirt in gingham flannel

Boy shirt in poppy plaid

My outfit  is cozy & warm, with pops of color - with a little plaid mixed in!  I love the tartan scarf, and mixing puffer vests with plaid button-downs -- one of my favorite ensembles!

This fall, I've been living in my green Hunter boots, but I love these red ones for the holiday season!  So festive!  The coat is amazing - doesn't it look SO warm?!

Charleston Naturally Review

I was recently contacted by Charleston Naturally, an organic beauty boutique, about receiving and reviewing several items on my blog.  After checking out their impressive and easy-to-navigate website, I immediately agreed!  Within just 3 days, I had a package on my doorstep filled with amazing items and samples from their high-end organic and natural skincare lines.

These are the three main items I received - and I'll be giving you my honest and thorough opinions.

Web Description: Creamy cleanser rich in botanical emollients for normal, dry, and sensitive skin.

Soothing Cleansing Cream

My review:  Although this cleanser does not lather up very well, is very soothing and moisturizing to the skin.  I have sensitive skin, and I really like this cleanser for it.  It smells fresh and fruity (almost like Fruit Loops cereal!), and washes off well.  After use, my skin feels cleansed, nourished and soft, not dry or parched.  I do have to use a makeup remover pad for my eye makeup, as this does not take all of it of with one wash.  One/two pumps is perfect for my entire face.

Web Description: Lavender essential oil imparts soothing warmth to the skin, relaxing the body, easing the mind, calming skin sensitivities and visibly reducing redness.

Dr. Hauschka Lavender Bath

My review:  This product can be used in a bath, or after washing your face in the sink.  I have loved using it at nighttime when cleansing my face.  After using the Boscia cleanser, I just fill my sink 1/2 way with warm water and just a couple drops of this Lavender Bath Oil.  Lather the water around, rinse my face a few times, and then compress.  It smells amazing - a lavender, aroma-therapeutic smell.  It is so soothing, relaxing, and moisturizing.  I have sensitive skin, and I have had no problems/breakouts since using this.  I actually really look forward to bedtime, because of this product.  The bottle is quite large, I know it will last me a very long time! I do wish the top had a pump for easier use, as you have to be careful when pouring out.

Web Description: This light cream keeps skin healthy and fresh throughout the day.

Quince Day Cream

My review:  I have been using this product in my daily morning routine, as my cream moisturizer.  It is light, refreshing, and has just the right amount of moisture.  I love the consistency, not too heavy for daytime, but it leaves my skin feeling even, rejuvenated, and pampered.  I feel like my skin looks healthier and a bit more radiant after using this product. It has a light and natural/citrus scent.  I also really like the packaging - very hygienic and easy to use.

Now for the fun part - Charleston Naturally  has given YOU, my readers, a special coupon code for 20% off your next order!  Use the code: LOVE

I can't wait to see what you get - this is a great deal, because most of these products are very hard to find on sale!  Also, I'm sure you could find a great stocking stuffer or gift for any women (or men!) on your Christmas list!  I definitely recommend the items above, especially the Lavender Bath :)
A big thanks to Charleston Naturally!
