Gift Guide: For the Girls

10- Mug   11- Tory Burch Earrings   12- Nars Lipgloss Set

Alright, my last gift guide is up!  And this one is for all those procrastinators that need to get shopping for all the gals in your life!   And if you're done with all your shopping (like me!), then you can use this guide for a wish list for yourself....or better yet, a reference to come back to if you're lucky enough to get a wad of cash under the tree!  These items are tried and true favorites of mine (I just scooped up those mittens for a stocking stuffer), and I've been wearing and loving the earrings and bracelet for quite some time now!  The perfume set I've been wanting to try, and those tennis shoes are hopefully already wrapped and under the tree for me from my hubby!  ;)

What's on your wish list this Christmas??  Have you finished all your Christmas shopping yet?

Lately - Shopping, Decorating, and Sushi Dates

We have had quite the busy week after coming back from Thanksgiving in Tennessee.
We've been shopping (Target trips almost on the daily), wrapping presents, decorating for Christmas...

Wearing Christmas pajamas 24/7 (because they're just the cutest)....

We had dear friends come and visit from North Carolina!
It was so fun to have A and N play together again!

John and I snuck away for a little sushi date night,

followed up by watching Maleficent
(can we discuss how stunning Angelina is?  it's insane.)

We also have been LOVING reading this book with Andrew every evening before bed.
Thank you Aubs for giving such a great and meaningful gift!

It has sweet prayers and lessons as we go through Advent, and even has some arts and crafts that kids can do....

Hanging his very first homemade ornament on the tree :)

Oh, and before I go,
we took family photos in TN, and our photographer gave us a little sneak peek!
I love the lighting of this pic!  Cant wait to see the rest ;)
It was very interesting doing a photo shoot with an 11 month old - to say the least!  I'm just glad we are all actually looking at the camera!

Hope y'all are all doing wonderful and enjoying this time of the year!
Now I'm off to order my LAST Christmas gift of the year!  Hooray!

Linking up with Biana and Leeann :)

If the guys in your life are anything like mine, they can be a little tricky to shop for!  They either already have everything they want/need, like to pick out their own gifts, or are too humble or bashful to simply tell you what they might want under the tree.  Here are a few things that are sure to bring a smile to the faces of those boys of yours.  I gave a couple of these last year, and they were a huge hit!  Especially the pajama pants :)  John is in fact wearing them right now as I type up this post!  So sit back, relax, and click away!
Your men will thank you later!

Happy 11 Months!

Dear Baby Boy,

Just as I type that out..."baby boy", I find myself tearing up just a little.
Because sure enough, in just one short month, you won't be a "baby" anymore.
You'll be a real, big, one-year-old.  And I just don't know if my heart can handle that.

This month, your personality has really taken off.  You are such a delight, you love to smile and laugh.  You are zooming around on your hands and knees, pulling up and cruising along tables and chairs with no fear at all.  Cuddling and giving Mommy and Daddy hugs is one of your favorite things to do.  We cherish the early mornings and evenings when you are just the sugariest, cuddliest thing in the world.  When you are ready for your nap, you crawl over to me, rest your head on my shoulder, and just nuzzle into my neck.  It's kind of my favorite.

You still love your pacifier - and I don't think it's going anywhere for awhile.
But that's fine with me.  It gives you comfort and peace, and helps you sleep!
Speaking of sleep, you are still a champ.  We traveled some this month, and had you sleeping in all kinds of different places and spaces, but you adjusted!  A few early mornings, but overall, you love your sleep.  Just like your parents.

2 naps a day - 2.5 hours in the morning.  1 hour in the afternoon, typically.
11-12 hours at night, from 7:30pm - 7:30am.

You've learned how to point at objects this month, and you've become much more curious and interested in the things going on around you.

You love to be tickled, and smooched all over.
Especially right on top of that cute little belly button of yours.

You say all kinds of things...no definite words yet.
Although we think you said "bye" to Mimi and Papa D when they drove away after Thanksgiving!
Anytime you hear music or a beat, you start bouncing and rocking on one leg....we call it the "Elvis".  You love your piano and anything that rattles or shakes!

Your favorite foods are:
Cheerios and Rice Krispies
Yogurt
Sweet Potatoes
Toast
and Green Beans

Because you're moving and shaking, and cruising and crawling,
you still are a tiny little guy...

Weight: 16lbs 5oz
Height: 27.5 inches

Reading books and pulling all of your toys out of the basket are two of your favorite things.
Oh, and bath time.  You love bath time.   And you had your first bath in the big tub this month!
So much freedom and fun you had!

You celebrated your first Thanksgiving in Memphis, TN, where you loved playing with your cousins and family.  It was such a wonderful trip!
(and we think you look a lot like your cousin, Asa!)

We love you so much.  Watching you explore the world and have so much fun doing it, has been such an honor and joy.  You are the biggest blessing.

Andrew's Baptism

"Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
Joshua 1:9

We had the wonderful opportunity to have Andrew baptized last week at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis.  John grew up in this church, we spent our first years of marriage attending there, and his amazing father has been a Pastor there for many many years.   It was an incredibly special day, and we were so blessed to have our family and friends to support and encourage us.

Andrew's grandmother (John's mother) made his beautiful gown.
It was such a special gift, one we will be forever grateful for.

Handing Andrew over to his "Papa" to be baptized!
This was such a memorable and sweet moment.

My dear friend, Aubrey, and her family made the drive from Nashville for the big day!
Thank you Aubs for everything!
Love our little family!

And my wonderful and thoughtful parents!

John's lifelong best friend, Spencer, and his little boy, Max!
This was the first meeting of the babies, a moment their dads have been looking forward to their whole lives!  They are just 2 months apart, and I know they will be the best of friends!
All the family..
and all the grandchildren.
Andrew was a little over the excessive picture-taking ;)
My Memphis besties/mamas!!

So thankful for this unforgettable moment in Andrew's life, and overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support from our family and friends.
John and I are forever blessed and honored to be his parents!

"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above"
James 1:17
