Rompin' Around

Keepin' It Casual Romper - c/o Tobi;  Booties - Forever 21 (similar)

First things first.  I am not a model.  I am so awkward and cheesy, and I had to take two-hundred and fifty-two pictures to get the keepers above :)  Ok, maybe not that many, but I did have a lot of outtakes.  And a big ole thanks to my MAMA for being my wing-girl and taking these shots!

OK, now on to this romper!  Y'all!  Isn't it the cutest?!  I am just 5 months post partum, so I'm not feeling totally confident in my body yet, but as soon as I put this on, I felt great!  It covers up my problem areas (tummy and thighs...and upper arms!), but it shows enough to be sassy!  Sassy and classy.  I told my mom it's a "Momper".  A mom-romper.  Some of those rompers out in the stores are just down to here and up to there and leave nothing at all covered.  But this is just perfect!  I love the trendy off-the-shoulder detail on this one, and the 70's style flared sleeves.  It's so comfy too.  This is going to be a favorite all summer for sure!

And I've been wearing this tassel necklace constantly!  It's such a fun and easy way to add a statement to any outfit.  (They also have it in turquoise which I may have to go back for!)

Be sure to check out Tobi for tons more affordable and adorable clothing for spring, summer, and all year round!  I'm especially loving their selection of rompers and dresses for this warm Tennessee weather!
 AND if you're a new customer - you get 50% off your first order!

HAPPY FRIDAY LOVES!

Ellie - 5 Months

Dear Baby Girl,
5 months old already?!  Time is flying and you are growing like a weed, right before our eyes!  It seems like just yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital on that crisp October day.  But then again, it's as though you've always been a part of our little family!  How funny how it seems like both at the very same time.
What a month you have had!  We celebrated your very first Easter!  It was such a beautiful and wonderful weekend, and we started several new traditions as a family of 4!  Your first year of holidays is just so very special!
You also got to go on your first shopping trip to a mall with Mommy this month!  How fun!  You slept the whole time, but I know you'll always remember it ;)
Spring is here, so we've spent a lot of time outdoors visiting the Zoo and the Botanic Gardens.  You love riding in the Ergo, and are as happy as a clam when we are out and about.  You are flexible and easy-going, which is such a blessing!  As long as you have your favorite lovey doll and a blanket, you are good to go.  No pacifiers for you!  You are not a fan!
This month, we also introduced your first solid food - bananas!  You really weren't sure about them...you just smacked them around in your mouth looking at us like we were absolutely crazy.  We'll keep trying.
Ellie - you are just the most perfect baby and we are so thankful for each and every moment we have with you.  We especially love your crooked smile, your fuzzy bald spots, your expressive eyebrows, your tiny toes that you like to grab, and of course your joyful personality.
Things you love:
Bouncing up and down
The play mat
Being held in the Ergo
Giggling with Andrew
Babbling

Things you don't love:
Bottles
Pacifiers
Getting out of the bath
Nose Frieda :(

Stats:
15lbs
26 inches long
We love you so much sweet girl!
Happy 5 months!

Easter Weekend

Easter is one of my favorite holidays.
The fresh blooms of flowers, the darling decorations, the delicious food and the family traditions.
Cadbury eggs, jelly beans, pastel colors, and perfect Easter outfits for Sunday morning.
But more than those things, I love the truth of the Easter story.  The time to reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of our Savior.  The most beautiful story of hope and new life.

This year was our first Easter we have been around family and friends in a long time, and of course it was Ellie's very first Easter!  So it was quite special :)
We spent the weekend dying eggs, going to our church Easter egg hunt, hiding and hunting for eggs in the yard, enjoying a little too much candy, spending time with family, having wonderful food, and celebrating God's great love.

{Andrew: "Baby Ellie - I found your Easter basket!"}

{Andrew: "Baby Ellie - I'm going to read you a book, ok?"}

There is no personal space in the world of a toddler!
{But oh how sweet it is to watch these two together!}

We are thankful.
Thankful for His love.  Thankful for the price He paid.
So that we can stand before the cross, forgiven and free.
We deserved death.  Yet He gave us life.
Thank you Jesus!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend, too!
