2013 Book List

This past year was a big "reading" year for me.  I had two surgeries that I had to recover from, spent about 100 hours in planes, trains, & airports, and well, I wasn't working for about 1/2 the year!  So I had a lot of down time :)
I wanted to read at least one book a month, and I definitely met my goal!

Some of the books I read and would recommend:

*The Hunger Games Trilogy*
*The Divergent Series*
*Firefly Lane*
*Pioneer Woman - Black Heels to Tractor Wheels*
*Heaven is For Real*
*On the Island*

And now for the books on my 2013 list!

Have you read any books above?
What other books would you recommend??

XOXO
And Happy Reading! :)

I read pretty much all those books last year too! Your 2013 list looks great- I've read most of those. The Paris Wife, Gone Girl, Night Circus are my favorites!

I'm picking The Night Circus up from the library on Saturday.

I loved Gone Girl (have you read Flynn's other books?), I also enjoyed The Paris Wife a lot. And I thought Bossypants was awesome. I'm a huge Tina Fey fan.

The Art of Racing in the Rain made me sad and The Glass Castle made me anxious.

Glass Castle is one of the best memoirs I've ever read! Glass castle is great. Really, can you go wrong with a Nicholas Sparks quick and easy read? Love the rest of your books on your list, and have added to mine now! Thanks for the recs!

Emily: Looks like you have a great book line-up in place for 2013! I can highly recommend Gone Girl (so many good twists that you totally won't see coming) and Cutting For Stone, and I'm currently reading (and loving) Mindy Kahling's book. I read Sarah's Key, too, and it wasn't one I'd put at the top of my recommendation list, but it was pretty good. If you're looking to add anything else, did you ever read The Time Traveler's Wife? It's one of my all-time favorites and always one I recommend. Happy reading!
